Catthorpe is a small village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, lying close to the county boundaries with Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. It is best known locally for the nearby Catthorpe Interchange, where the M1, M6 and A14 converge, giving the area a surprisingly prominent role in national transport despite its rural setting.
Historically an agricultural community, the village still retains a compact, rural character with a handful of historic buildings and a small, close-knit population; many residents commute to nearby towns such as Market Harborough or to work along the motorway corridors. Recent decades of road improvements and traffic management have shaped village life, but the lanes, farmland and local continuity remain typical of Leicestershire countryside settlements.
