Castle Donington is a small market town in the district of North West Leicestershire in Leicestershire, England. It sits near the M1 and A453 and is within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, lying close to the floodplain of the River Trent and immediately adjacent to East Midlands Airport.
Historically the town grew around a Norman motte and a medieval market, and it still retains a compact historic core and parish church. Today it is notable for the nearby Donington Park motorsport circuit and large aviation and logistics employers linked to the airport, giving the town a mix of commuter, industrial and event-driven activity alongside its village-like community feel.
