Frindsbury Extra is a civil parish on the western edge of the Hoo Peninsula, lying north of the River Medway within the unitary authority of Medway in Kent. The area mixes suburban streets with stretches of countryside and farmland, and its landscape bears traces of past quarrying and brick- and cement-making that once helped fuel the local economy along the river.
Historically linked with the old manor of Frindsbury, the parish now has a largely residential, commuter character with good road and rail links into Strood, Rochester and even London, while still offering village halls, inns and active local groups that preserve a semi‑rural community feel and make the most of nearby riverside walks and historic sites.
