The Guiltcross ward sits in the western part of the Breckland district of Norfolk, England, and is characterised by open arable fields, patches of pine and heath typical of the Breckland landscape, and a scattering of small villages and hamlets. Rural lanes link parish churches, village halls and traditional pubs, while the area remains within easy travelling distance of nearby market towns and the city of Norwich.
The name recalls the medieval Guiltcross hundred and the ward contains a number of older rural estates and historic churches, giving a strong sense of long-settled countryside. Economically the area is dominated by agriculture and rural businesses, with many residents commuting elsewhere for work; community life tends to centre on parish events, local clubs and efforts to conserve the distinctive Breckland ecology.
