Saham Toney is a largely rural ward in the district of Breckland, in the county of Norfolk, England. It centres on the small village and surrounding farmland, set within the distinctive Breckland landscape of sandy soils, mixed arable fields and scattered woodlands; the local economy remains rooted in agriculture alongside a number of residents who commute to larger centres such as Norwich and Thetford.
The community retains a strong village feel, with a parish church, village hall, pub and occasional local events and conservation projects, and a built environment that reflects historic farmsteads and lanes dating back centuries. The ward’s combination of working countryside, community institutions and pockets of wildlife-rich habitat gives it a quietly appealing, traditional Norfolk character.
