Coltishall is a charming riverside village in the district of Broadland, Norfolk, England, set on the banks of the River Bure and roughly ten miles north of Norwich. It acts as a convenient gateway to the Norfolk Broads, with riverside pubs, moorings and boat hire that attract day-trippers and holidaymakers, while its green and lanes give it a distinctly village feel.
The village is perhaps best known for RAF Coltishall, the Second World War–era airbase that influenced the local economy and identity until its closure in the 2000s; remnants of the airfield and former hangars have been repurposed for business and housing. Today Coltishall combines tourism, agriculture and small local enterprises with an active community life featuring clubs, seasonal events and a relaxed riverside atmosphere.
