Strumpshaw is a small rural community in Broadland, Norfolk, England, set beside the floodplain of the River Yare and a short drive from Norwich. The landscape is classic Broads country of reedbeds, grazing marsh and drainage dykes, and the nearby RSPB Strumpshaw Fen is a magnet for birdwatchers - bitterns, marsh harriers and the famous swallowtail butterfly are among the highlights in season.
Traditionally agricultural, the village economy now mixes farming with tourism and a number of commuters to the city; visitors are also drawn to local heritage such as the Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum. Despite modern pressures the community retains a quiet, village character and strong links to the wider waterways and landscapes of The Broads.
