Outwell is a small village and civil parish in the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, in Norfolk, lying on the Norfolk–Cambridgeshire border. It sits in the low-lying The Fens, a landscape of drains, dykes and historic waterways, and its character has been shaped for centuries by fen drainage and water management.
Historically centred on farming, peat cutting and river trade, the local economy remains largely agricultural with rich wetland habitats that draw birdwatchers and walkers. The village keeps a compact centre with a parish church, a few historic buildings and community groups and pubs that sustain a close-knit rural life while being within easy reach of Wisbech and King's Lynn.
