Friday Bridge is a small village in the district of Fenland, Cambridgeshire, England, set in the flat, low-lying landscape of the Fens between the market towns of March and Wisbech. The surrounding countryside is dominated by reclaimed peat farmland, a network of drainage ditches and pumping stations, giving the area its distinctive wide skies and agricultural character.
Historically the village and its neighbours were shaped by drainage and land-reclamation from the 17th century onwards, and agriculture - particularly arable and vegetable growing - remains important to the local economy. Socially it feels typically rural and close-knit, with village amenities and community events anchoring local life while many residents also commute to larger nearby towns for work and services.
