Tickenham is a small rural village and civil parish in North Somerset, England, set on gently rolling farmland a few miles south‑west of Bristol and near Clevedon and Nailsea. The parish borders low‑lying peat moors by the Severn Estuary; the nearby Tickenham, Nailsea and Kenn Moors are a recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest for wetland plants and birds, and the lanes and ridges around the village are popular with walkers and cyclists.
Historically the village has medieval roots and several listed houses and a manor survive, reflecting its long agricultural past. Today farming remains visible but many residents commute into Bristol and surrounding towns; local life is quietly community‑focused, centred on the village hall, church and pub, with a strong sense of rural heritage and wildlife on the doorstep.
