Seaton Burn is a small village in North Tyneside, England, set in the shallow valley of the River Seaton. Historically it grew up around coal mining and local industry, and remnants of that industrial past still shape the landscape and community identity.
Today it's largely a residential and commuter community for nearby Newcastle upon Tyne and the wider Tyne and Wear conurbation, with pockets of woodland, open greenbelt and some light industry on the edges. The village sits close to historic sites such as Seaton Delaval Hall, and local social life revolves around village halls, pubs and sports clubs that reflect a mix of mining heritage and newer suburban families.
