Kimberley is an electoral ward within the Borough of Broxtowe in western Nottinghamshire, sitting just to the north‑west of Nottingham. It grew up in the 19th century as an industrial and mining community and still shows that heritage in pockets of Victorian terraces and former pit sites which have in places been softened into parks and community green space.
Today the area combines a small local high street and community facilities with good road and bus links into Nottingham, so it mixes long‑standing working‑class neighbourhoods with commuters. There’s a noticeable local civic pride, expressed through clubs, sports teams and occasional community events, and a handful of historic buildings and churches that hint at the town’s industrial past.
