Fiskerton is a small riverside village in the district of Newark and Sherwood, Nottinghamshire, England, sitting on the east bank of the River Trent a few miles north of Newark-on-Trent. Its low-lying, floodplain setting gives attractive riverside walks and has long shaped local life through fishing, transport and the occasional seasonal flooding.
Still largely rural and agricultural, Fiskerton has become a popular residential and commuter spot with a local railway link on the line between Nottingham and Lincoln, and retains a mix of listed cottages, a village green and traditional pubs. The wider area has archaeological evidence of much older settlement, so the village combines quiet country charm with easy access to nearby market towns.
