Beckington is a compact village in Somerset, England, set in gently rolling countryside on the valley of the River Frome. It’s characterised by honey‑coloured stone cottages, a cluster of old mills and a quiet high street, with the open countryside of the Mendip Hills and the lively market town of Frome and the city of Bath within easy reach.
Historically the village grew on the back of local milling and the cloth trade, and you still get glimpses of that past in buildings such as Beckington Castle and the parish St George's Church. Today it feels largely residential and community‑minded, with local pubs, small businesses and village events making it a pleasant commuter and rural community with a strong sense of local identity.
