Stratton-on-the-Fosse is a small village and civil parish in Somerset, England, sitting on the southern fringe of the Mendip Hills. It occupies a pleasant rural spot within easy reach of larger centres such as Bath and Wells, and retains a mix of stone-built cottages, a parish church and a village green that give a distinctly West Country character.
Historically the area had links with the wool and cloth trades and later with the nearby Somerset coalfield, and you can still see older buildings and field patterns that hint at that working past. Today the village is largely residential with some local businesses, a village pub and active community groups, while its countryside setting attracts walkers and people seeking an easy commute into the surrounding towns.
