Dyrham and Hinton is a small, rural civil parish in South Gloucestershire, set amid rolling limestone countryside a few miles north of Bath. The area is dominated by the impressive stately home and deer park of Dyrham Park, now cared for by the National Trust, and the landscape still bears traces of its long history - famously linked with the nearby 6th‑century Battle of Deorham and containing a number of listed buildings such as the village church.
Today the local economy is largely agricultural with a strong tourism element from the estate and local walking routes, while some residents commute to larger towns and cities. Community life is quietly centred on village events and conservation of the historic landscape, and the parish’s attractive lanes and parkland make it a popular spot for filming and country recreation.
