Penkridge is a large village and civil parish in South Staffordshire, Staffordshire, England, set in the shallow valley of the River Penk. Its position close to the A449 and the M6, and roughly between Stafford and Wolverhampton, has long made it a local centre for the surrounding agricultural hinterland.
Historically it grew as a medieval market town and is still marked by its historic core and the impressive St Michael's Collegiate Church, with a High Street of listed buildings and old coaching inns. Today it combines a market‑town feel with commuter households and small local businesses, serving neighbouring villages and farms while retaining a strong sense of local identity.
