Ingleby Barwick is a large, mainly residential parish on the south bank of the River Tees within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees. Largely built from the 1970s onward on former farmland, it developed into one of the North East's biggest private housing estates and is popular with families and commuters thanks to a mix of schools, parks, sports clubs and local shopping facilities.
