Chattisham is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Babergh, Suffolk, England, lying a few miles west of Ipswich. Set among rolling farmland and winding country lanes, it has a dispersed settlement pattern and the kind of open views and hedgerow scenery typical of south Suffolk.
The community is modest and close‑knit, historically centred on agriculture and now partly home to commuters into nearby towns. There are a number of historic buildings and a traditional parish church, and the parish attracts walkers and those interested in conservation; village life is quiet, with occasional local events and an emphasis on maintaining the rural character.
