West Clandon is a small Surrey village in the borough of Guildford, Surrey, England, set amid rolling chalk downland on the edge of the Surrey Hills. It lies close to the A3 and has a station on the line to London Waterloo, so many residents commute while the village retains a distinctly rural feel with surrounding farmland and woodland.
The village is best known for the parkland of Clandon Park and the 18th‑century Palladian Clandon House, a National Trust property that attracted national attention after a devastating fire in 2015 and remains a focus for conservation and local debate. Social life centres on village amenities and events, with an economy largely residential and agricultural alongside small local businesses and recreational activities such as riding and walking on the estate and nearby commons.
