The village of Mickleham sits on the North Downs in the district of Mole Valley in Surrey, England, just beneath the scarp of Box Hill and close to the River Mole. It lies within the Surrey Hills AONB and includes the small settlement of Westhumble, making it a popular base for walkers and cyclists exploring the chalk downland and nearby country parks.
Mickleham has a compact historic heart with a medieval parish church and a number of listed buildings that hint at its long rural past and role on routes across the downs. Today the village is largely residential and commuter-oriented, supplemented by local farming and a modest visitor economy from outdoor recreation; community life remains small-scale with an emphasis on conservation and village events, while the market towns of Dorking and Leatherhead are within easy reach.
