Salfords is a village in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey, England. It sits just south of Redhill and north of Horley, close to the M23 and within easy reach of Gatwick Airport, with the River Mole flowing nearby; there is also a small local railway station providing commuter links into London and the wider region.
Historically a rural settlement - its name likely comes from a “sallow” (willow) ford - Salfords expanded with 19th–20th century transport and light industry and today combines a sizeable industrial estate and warehousing with a residential community. The village retains local amenities such as a primary school, village hall and pubs, and benefits from easy access to Surrey countryside and walking routes across the North Downs, making it a mix of commuter suburbia and semi-rural character.
