Dormansland is a village and civil parish in the district of Tandridge, in Surrey, England, close to the Sussex border. It occupies a semi‑rural setting of woodlands, small farms and patches of heath, and is popular with walkers and horse riders; the nearby Dormans Park estate and the neighbouring village of Lingfield sit within the same patchwork of countryside.
Historically part of surrounding parishes, Dormansland grew from scattered farms and cottages during the late 19th and 20th centuries and today is largely residential, with a village hall, local shops and active community groups; many residents commute to London or to nearby market towns. The village retains a strong local identity, combining village amenities with the character of Surrey’s countryside.
