Polesworth is a large village and civil parish in North Warwickshire, Warwickshire, England, set on the banks of the River Anker. It grew up around the remains of the medieval Polesworth Abbey, whose church gives the village a readable historic core; today the settlement combines period buildings, riverside walks and a busy local community while many residents commute to nearby towns.
Just to the north‑east, Dordon is a 20th‑century village that expanded with housing as local industries changed, and in recent decades the area has been reshaped by the Birch Coppice business park and warehousing which now provide much local employment. Good road links mean the two villages sit comfortably within the commuter hinterland of places such as Tamworth, Birmingham and Coventry, but both retain distinct local identities and active community life.
