Baddesley Ensor is a small former mining village in the district of North Warwickshire, in the county of Warwickshire, England. It sits on the northern edge of the county, surrounded by farmland and pockets of reclaimed industrial land, and lies within easy reach of towns such as Bedworth, Nuneaton and Atherstone, with Coventry and Birmingham a short drive away for commuters.
The village grew up around coal mining and still shows that heritage in its street pattern, community buildings and local clubs; the colliery era shaped much of its social life and identity. Since pit closures the local economy has become more mixed, with residents typically working in nearby towns while village life centres on a village hall, social clubs and green spaces that host community events and reflect a quieter, semi-rural character.
