Findon is a village and civil parish in the district of Arun, West Sussex, in southern England, set on the lower slopes of the South Downs a few miles north of Worthing. It sits beneath Cissbury Ring, the prominent prehistoric hill fort and flint-mine complex, and lies at the edge of the South Downs National Park, giving chalk downland, panoramic views and easy access to popular walking routes.
With ancient roots, a historic parish church and characteristic flint cottages, the village has a long association with downland farming and the flint industry around Cissbury but today functions largely as an attractive residential and commuter community with local shops, pubs and an active village life. Its archaeology, landscape and friendly amenities make it a draw for walkers and visitors interested in Sussex history and countryside.
