Fernhurst is a village and civil parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England. Nestled on the fringe of the western Weald and close to the South Downs, it lies between Haslemere and Chichester and is characterised by rolling farmland, mixed woodland and a cluster of traditional flint-and-brick cottages. The area has medieval roots and the landscape still shows traces of the old Wealden iron industry and historic country estates.
Today Fernhurst remains a lively rural community with a mix of commuters and local trades, small independent shops, pubs, a primary school and active village organisations. Its network of footpaths, commons and bridleways makes it popular for walking, cycling and riding, while regular local events and arts activities help maintain a strong village identity within easy reach of larger towns.
