Collingbourne Kingston is a small rural parish in the Bourne valley of east Wiltshire, set against the rolling chalk downland of Salisbury Plain. It sits close to the neighbouring village of Collingbourne Ducis and within easy reach of the military town of Tidworth, giving the area a mix of quiet farmland, classic cottages and the occasional reminders of 20th‑century military and railway history.
The local economy is traditionally agricultural but now includes commuters and small local businesses, and the community remains active around the parish church, village hall and seasonal fêtes. Historic features such as period houses, rural lanes and the site of the former railway station (closed in the mid‑20th century) give the parish a strong sense of place and make it popular with walkers exploring the downs and valley landscapes.
