Newton Tony is a small village and civil parish in Wiltshire, tucked into the Bourne valley on the eastern edge of Salisbury Plain. It has a long rural history visible in its parish church and a number of older farmhouses and cottages, and sits beside the River Bourne, giving the village a quietly picturesque setting.
Today the local economy remains largely agricultural, though many residents commute to nearby Salisbury or the garrison town of Tidworth, and the nearby military training areas influence the character of the landscape. Community life is small-scale and close‑knit, revolving around the village hall and occasional local events, with the usual mix of listed buildings and modern homes that you find in traditional Wiltshire parishes.
