Ballymacarrett

Ballymacarrett is an electoral ward on the eastern side of Belfast, Northern Ireland, lying along the east bank of the River Lagan in East Belfast. Historically it developed as a working‑class neighbourhood tied to shipbuilding and heavy industry, with close links to Harland and Wolff and the nearby Titanic Quarter; since the decline of those industries the area has seen a mix of regeneration projects alongside longstanding residential streets and social housing.
