Eastriggs is a small village in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, set close to the English border and the tidal flats of the Solway Firth. It sits amid agricultural countryside with the market town of Annan and historic Gretna nearby and has good road links via the A75 towards regional centres.
The village was largely built during the First World War to house workers at HM Factory Gretna, once one of the largest munitions complexes in the UK, and that industrial past still shapes its character; the Devil's Porridge Museum preserves this story and draws visitors. Today Eastriggs is a modest residential community with local amenities, a strong sense of wartime heritage and a quiet, rural social life.
