Gauldry is a small, picturesque village in the east of Fife, Scotland, set amid rolling arable countryside and within easy reach of Dundee and Cupar. Its position on the southern approaches to the Firth of Tay gives wide rural views and makes it a pleasant base for walking and cycling in the surrounding farmland and coastal fringes.
Historically the community grew out of agriculture and small‑scale local trades, and today it remains largely residential with a strong village identity: a village hall, church and local groups sustain an active social life while many people commute to nearby towns for work. The surviving stone cottages and farm buildings, together with regular community events, give Gauldry a distinctive rural character within modern Fife.
