Invergowrie is a small village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, sitting on the north bank of the Firth of Tay just a few miles west of Dundee. Its shoreline and saltmarsh are popular with walkers and birdwatchers, giving the place a semi-rural character despite close links to the city; there are attractive views across the estuary and a mix of older stone houses and more modern housing.
The village has a community feel with a village hall, local amenities and a primary school, and many residents commute into Dundee or further afield thanks to Invergowrie railway station on the main line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Historically part of the old district of Gowrie, it combines quiet residential life with easy access to urban work and cultural opportunities.
