Tremorfa is an inner‑city district in the east of Cardiff, Wales, sitting just inland from Cardiff Bay and bordering areas such as Splott. It is largely residential with broad swathes of post‑war council housing and green spaces like Tremorfa Park, and benefits from being a short distance from the city centre and local transport corridors.
Historically the neighbourhood developed alongside Cardiff’s maritime and industrial expansion, and traces of that working‑class, dockside heritage remain alongside small industrial estates. In recent years the area has seen targeted regeneration, active community groups, schools and sports facilities, and a diverse population that gives Tremorfa a strong local identity rooted in practical amenities and neighbourhood initiatives.
