Penrhyn Bay is a small coastal village on the north Wales coast in the county borough of Conwy, sitting just east of Llandudno and tucked beneath the limestone spur of the Little Orme. It has a sheltered, gently sloping beach and cliff paths with open views across the bay towards the Great Orme and the Conwy estuary, making it a popular spot for walkers, birdwatchers and anyone after a quieter seaside feel than the larger neighbouring resorts.
Historically it developed as a residential and holiday suburb in the 19th and 20th centuries and today remains largely residential with local shops and a community atmosphere, while benefiting from the tourism and services of nearby Llandudno and the historic attractions of Conwy, including Conwy Castle. The mix of coastal recreation, easy commuting into the surrounding towns and a modest local high street gives it a relaxed, village-like character rather than a busy resort vibe.
