Craig-y-don sits on the seafront of Llandudno in Conwy, occupying the coastal strip and residential streets that look out over Conwy Bay. The ward benefits from the long Victorian promenade, nearby beaches and clear views across the bay to Anglesey and the distinctive bulk of the Great Orme, making it very much part of the town’s traditional seaside character.
Historically shaped by 19th-century seaside development, the area mixes older terraces and hotels with modern housing and a service economy geared towards tourism, hospitality and local shops. There is a noticeable community of retirees alongside families and seasonal visitors, and the neighbourhood’s cafes, guesthouses and promenade remain key to its social and economic life.
