Corwen is a small market town in Denbighshire, Wales, sitting on the banks of the River Dee beneath the rolling summits of the Berwyn Mountains. Its riverside location and nearby hills make it popular for walking, cycling and fishing, and in recent years the extension of the heritage Llangollen Railway has brought more visitors and steam services into the town.
Historically the area is linked with the Glyndyfrdwy estate and the rebellion of Owain Glyndŵr, and the town retains a strong rural, market-centred identity with agriculture, local businesses and tourism forming the backbone of the economy. Corwen also has an active bilingual community and hosts local events and services that reflect Welsh cultural traditions and countryside life.
