Meliden is a small village on the western edge of Prestatyn in Denbighshire, Wales, nestling at the foot of the Clwydian Range beneath Moel Hiraddug. The village enjoys easy access to countryside walks with views down the Vale of Clwyd and out towards the Irish Sea, making it popular with walkers and day visitors as well as local residents.
Historically the area grew around limestone quarrying and some mining, and traces of the old workings shape the local landscape; today Meliden is largely residential with a modest local social life, many people commuting to nearby towns while benefiting from outdoor recreation and a bilingual Welsh–English community feel.
