Garden City is a small, mainly residential village in Flintshire in north‑east Wales. It grew up in the early 20th century with housing shaped by the Garden City idea to serve workers from nearby heavy industry, and sits within easy reach of the Dee estuary and the England–Wales border, so it enjoys a mix of riverine and semi‑rural landscape while remaining well connected to larger towns.
These days Garden City has a quiet, community‑orientated feel with local shops, green spaces and social clubs; economically it is largely a dormitory village with many residents commuting to nearby employment centres such as Chester and the wider Deeside area, but traces of its industrial and planning heritage are still visible in the street pattern and older housing.
