Llangelynin is a small, largely rural parish in Gwynedd, north‑west Wales, characterised by scattered farms, rolling uplands and a mix of coastal and estuarine influence on its fringes. The landscape attracts walkers and birdwatchers and sits close to the hills of Snowdonia, offering a pleasing contrast between moorland and shoreline.
Historically the community grew up around its medieval church dedicated to St Celynnin, and local life still centres on chapels, a village hall and agriculture - notably sheep and hill farming - while Welsh remains strong in everyday use; small‑scale tourism and conservation work now also contribute to the local economy and social life.
