Morfa Tywyn is a compact coastal ward on the edge of Tywyn in Gwynedd, Wales, lying beside the sand dunes and saltmarsh of Cardigan Bay. Its low-lying, marshy landscape gives way to a long beach and attractive wildlife habitats, and the setting provides wide views towards the nearby uplands, including the foothills of Cadair Idris.
The ward feels part of the seaside town’s mix of tourism and local life: visitors come for the beach and heritage attractions while residents keep a strong community identity and use of the Welsh language. Nearby landmarks such as the heritage Talyllyn Railway and historic St Cadfan's Church reflect the area’s Victorian and medieval layers, and the local economy leans on a mix of small businesses, holiday accommodation and services for everyday neighbourhoods.
