Rhos-y-bol is a small village on the north coast of the Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales, located on the A5025 between Amlwch and Cemaes Bay. It lies close to beaches and coastal walking, making it a handy base for exploring the northern shoreline and local wildlife.
The village sits within an area shaped by 18th–19th century mining centred on Parys Mountain and the port of Amlwch, but today is largely agricultural and residential. Community life is characteristically Welsh-speaking and centred on the chapel, village hall and local amenities, with farming, commuting and seasonal tourism forming the main economic strands for people in North Anglesey.
