Twrcelyn is an electoral ward on the north‑eastern side of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, covering a mix of small coastal settlements and rural farmland. It elects county councillors to the Isle of Anglesey County Council and sits near the harbour town of Amlwch, with quiet coastal lanes and footpaths that attract walkers and birdwatchers.
The ward reflects much of Anglesey’s blend of history and modern rural life: remnants of the island’s industrial past - notably the nearby copper workings at Parys Mountain and the old port at Amlwch - sit alongside farms, small businesses and a modest tourism trade. Welsh language and community institutions such as chapels and village halls remain important, giving the area a strong local identity.
