Tregele is a small village on the northern side of the Isle of Anglesey, not far from the port town of Amlwch. Set among rolling fields and lanes with easy access to the coastline, it offers views over the Irish Sea and sits within a landscape marked by the island’s industrial past - most notably the nearby copper workings of Parys Mountain.
Today Tregele has the feel of a close-knit rural community: farming remains important, while tourism and coastal footpath visitors add a seasonal buzz. The village reflects strong Welsh cultural traditions common on Anglesey, with local events, chapels and community groups helping to keep village life active despite its small size.
