Boncath is a small rural village in Pembrokeshire, Wales, sited on the A478 roughly between Cardigan and Tenby. It sits beneath the Preseli Hills and is surrounded by rolling farmland, making it a convenient base for walkers and for people heading out to the north Pembrokeshire countryside or the coast.
The village grew as a local service centre in the 19th century with the coming of the railway and retains a strong agricultural character today, supporting dairy and sheep farming alongside a handful of small businesses, a pub and a community hall. Local history and Welsh language traditions remain part of village life, and the closure of the rural station in the mid‑20th century is still a notable chapter in its recent past.
