New Hedges is a small village on the south coast of Pembrokeshire, tucked between Tenby and Saundersfoot. It has roots in the 19th‑century coastal trade and local mining, but today feels largely residential with a strong tourism edge - holiday accommodation and caravan parks are common and the village offers easy access to beaches and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Twy Cross is a tiny crossroads hamlet close to New Hedges, with a more rural, agricultural character and lanes that open out to farmland and coastal views. Rather than a tourist centre it functions as a quiet, community‑orientated spot for walkers and cyclists passing through, reflecting the mixed economic life of south Pembrokeshire where farming, seaside tourism and local history meet.
