Llandow is a small rural village in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales, a few miles west of Cowbridge and roughly 15 miles from Cardiff. It occupies rolling farmland and the broad, flat site of a former airfield, giving the area a mix of traditional countryside and open expanses used for events and motorsport.
The former RAF airfield is a local landmark: after wartime use it developed into an aviation, parachuting and motorsport hub and hosts the long-running Llandow agricultural show and other community events, though it is also remembered for the tragic 1950 air disaster. The village retains a strongly agricultural character with small businesses and a close-knit community centred on parish and showground activities.
