Llandow is a small rural parish in the Vale of Glamorgan, in south Wales, set among rolling farmland a few miles west of Cowbridge and within easy reach of Cardiff. The landscape is typically pastoral, with scattered hamlets and lanes that give a quiet, agricultural character to the area.
The parish grew up around the former RAF airfield at Llandow, later used for civil flying and a short‑lived motor racing circuit; the site is also associated with the tragic 1950 air disaster and today hosts the long‑running agricultural Llandow Show on the old circuit. Locally the economy remains largely agricultural with some small businesses and an increasing number of commuters who value rural life close to larger towns and transport links.
