Keighley East covers the eastern part of Keighley, sitting in the Aire valley with views towards the moors and convenient access into the Yorkshire Dales. The area still bears the imprint of its 19th‑century textile and engineering past - Victorian terraces and former mill buildings line streets near the course of the River Aire, and small pockets of green space give way to rising moorland on the town’s outskirts.
Today it is a socially mixed neighbourhood with a range of small businesses, light industry and local shops alongside community projects and ongoing regeneration work. Cultural life is shaped by links to local heritage and tourism, with attractions such as the preserved Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and nearby Brontë country around Haworth keeping the area connected to the region’s industrial and literary histories.
