Oakworth is a small village in the metropolitan district of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, sitting in the attractive Worth Valley about three miles west of Keighley. It nestles beside the River Worth on the edge of the South Pennines, giving a mix of stone-built streets and surrounding moorland that makes it popular with walkers and country visitors.
Historically the village was shaped by the 19th-century textile industry, with mills and terraced housing still part of the streetscape, but today it functions partly as a commuter settlement and partly as a small tourism hub. The preserved Keighley and Worth Valley Railway runs through the area and the well-known Oakworth station was used in the film The Railway Children, drawing rail enthusiasts and film fans alike alongside local pubs, shops and a close-knit community feel.
